Mendini 1/4 MV300 Solid Wood Satin Antique Violin with Hard Case, Shoulder Rest, Bow, Rosin and Extra Strings

    • It was a little brighter and little bit of a hollower sound than the Mendini, basically, not as good, but playable and gave a different sound
    • Its a bit difficult to tune since it goes a little off tune quickly
    • The shoulder rest is also plastic and the pad is a bit hard but not uncomfortable
    • The shoulder rest is a bit iffy and hard to out on, but that's not a big deal
    • It is a bit tricky to tune initially, but once you get the hang of tuning it, it is much faster.
    • I had to work the tuning pegs a bit and restring to get the violin to keep its tuning, but now it plays as well as a beginner violin might
    • As I moved the peg a tiny bit, the string broke
    • The violin itself was a bit difficult for me to operate at first because, well.. Beginner
    • Strings slip (rosin works a bit, but tuning it, finding the note and then tapping it with the end of a hairbrush sets it
    • It's a bit challenging and tricky to tune if you're a new player
    • Good instrument, as with any "cheaper" priced instrument the tuning is a bit hard to keep in tune but that's not a problem if you just tune up before each playing session.
    • Some specific comments : The arc is a bit crooked (strange from the regular curvature)
    • The tone is a bit brighter than I prefer on violins, but given my budget, I probably couldn't have done better.
    • The product arrived as described, however, it is a bit uncomfortable because I have to tune the violin almost every day, besides, it does not have a specific flavor, it just sounds (something expected for such a low price $ 67)
    • It is completely dead on the a string, the e is just a screech
