    • The rosin is like plastic and doesn't even smell right.
    • Other issues Ive read on here that were made clear to me by my daughters instructor and music store owner: are that #1 if your violin isnt producing sound, it needs rosin #2 it your violin sounds scratchy its because it doesnt have enough rosin #3 the pegs move because you need to twist and push in slightly while your tuning so it wont go out of

    • The rosin breaks easily, and is very hard, but is usable
    • Of the lighter finish pair, one came with cheap crummy rosin in a Carmex style container while the other two came with higher quality light rosin on a proper rosin applicator container
    • The violin itself is perfect for a beginner but the rosin is absolute crap I suggest buying a separate better quality rosin along with this violin
    • and I didn't want to risk it, I found other similar outfit but few reviews mentioned it didn't come with rosin(pretty much impossible to start bowing without rosining the bow) and there was some issues with the bridge(it was mostly about it lacking the string marks), and I found the youtube review suggesting this one for $
    • The bow was entirely absent and the rosin was shattered beyond use
    • Got this violin for my boy and the strings were completely loose and in the wrong spots as I was trying to put them on they completely come off and the chin rest come off had to put it back on the bow is falling apart and the rosin cracked and fell apart got a new bow and rosin and still cannot use it as you cannot tune the violin no matter how much you try
    • Bought it a bit used, when I got it the rosin was in pieces and the G string was broken
    • The rosin had a small piece broken off but it works well
    • The Rosin is okay given the price of the violin, but I would suggest that you get a better quality rosin because it will make the sound better and you won't have to work so hard with the bow
    • The rosin crumbles like cement in a L.A. earthquake4
    • To solve the peg problem, I applied rosin powder (after scraping the rosin with sandpaper to rough up the surface), and that made the pegs more difficult to turn, which kept the strings in tune.
    • The rosin sucks, and a few strands on the bow fell off
    • We scratched up the rosin and then rosined up the bow (my daughter kept calling it a "stick")

    • The rosin works decently, and is easy to apply.
    • And some better rosin wouldn't hurt.

    • The rosin doesn't look like the picture.
    • But get a better rosin for it other then that it a great violin.
    • accordingly.-Rosin: use a nail file or sandpaper to grind the surface to powder and rub on bow.-Tricks: if you find your tuning pegs are slipping and not holding onto place, remove the string and apply rosin the the pegs so that is will grip and hold
    • My only issue is that the rosin that came with it arrived shattered and basically unusable.
    • The rosin is absolutely horrible
    • Because this rosin is hard (like candy) you need to scratch the surface with a coin until you get this white powder
