The sound is beautiful

So, I took it to a Luthier to get it looked at, and to upgrade the strings in hopes to improve the scratchy sound

Little advice, not a bad sound but def

The sound was leagues better than my Cremona.

The strings it comes with are a bit metallic sounding and the bridge could use a little reshaping but in spite of this the violin gives out a nice balanced sound on the four strings

The Sound is rich and melodic; comparable to my sister's antique William Louis&Sons Strad-type violin

A good string set and a new bow will improve your sound on this by a lot.

My playing got better because when you like the sound, you practice more.
