It was missing a fee vital pieces, including the stand for the snare drum
What I received was a three leg stand with a wing-nut in the top of a straight shaft and three loose pieces of metal angles to put under the wing-nut to try and balance the snare drum on
However it was missing quite a few pieces - like the bridge to hold the two drums that rest above the bass drum
We set it up as a modern 4-piece for my 3yr old & he LOVES it!
You won't be getting a real grown-up drum kit sound and kids tend to really hit things hard so be ready to tighten loose pieces often.

The kick pedal is a little squeaky but with some WD-40 it fixed it just fine

It loses one star because when the High hat gets banged too hard the screw loosens the cymbal completely
I only gave this 2 stars, because even though the drums are very nice, almost half of the hardware was missing from the box. rather than hassle with Amazon and the seller, I just ordered the hardware myself
So I have to knock off a star for the terrible instructions and one star for the cheap hardware and rattles

Looks nice but the screw get loose easilyWhen my son is playing.
Also, it took me a second to find the snare tightening screw on the side of the snare.
The pedal squeaks, the stand slips on the floor and screws loosen easily.
