I was also expecting Portable Ops, but I can look up the info lol
-
Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops - Sony PSP
-
It, of course, does not contain the non-canonical "Snake's Revenge," and also, rather disappointingly, does not include Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops
-
Only problem is there's no Portable Ops which is canon to the series, but I can understand why Kojima left it out
-
While theoretically taking place after Portable Ops (not included in this collection), PW is more of a sequel to MGS3*, dealing with Big Boss' memories of killing his mentor, while starting up a private-mercenary company to give soldiers a place to live (the roots of Outer Heaven, seen in the very first Metal Gear.
-
The only gripe I have with this collection is the omission of "Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops" which in my opinion is an important canonical story in the series; however the reasoning behind this was because Hideo Kojima did not direct the game himself and only served as an executive producer
-
Does not include the Rising series of games or the Portable Ops games, but then again those are unimportant.
-
The only big one missing is Portable Ops
-
While this covers most the series, the only things missing here are Portable Ops (as far as I know this hasn't been ported to console yet), and the spin-offs Metal Gear Rising, Metal Gear Ghost Babel, and Metal Gear Ac!d 1 and 2.
-
Only thing I wish it had as well is Portable Ops and MG:Acid 1 and 2.
-
They contain all the games that contain important events to the series (Portable Ops is missing from the collection), so it's perfect for new players to the series
-
The only thing I wish this included would have been a PS3-playable version of Portable Ops, but whatever! It's AWESOME
-
This collection have most of the Metal Gear games, except Portable Ops and Acid
-
The only canonical game that is missing is Portable Ops for PSP, the only Metal Gear that hasn't been released on PS3 in some form
-

Physical copies of MGS2/MGS3/MGS4/Portable Ops/MG1 and MG2!!
-
However, despite being a mandatory day-one purchase for any fan of Solid Snake and the legendary Big Boss, I still feel that they shouldn't have forgotten once again of the great "Portable Ops" game (for PSP)
-
PS 2 originals MGS 2 and MGS 3, MGS 2 Sons of Liberty Substance, MGS 3 Substenance, ReReleased PS 1/2 Platinum Collection, even the Portable Ops and Graphic Novels.
-
This collection includes all of the canon storyline games except for Portable Ops, Ground Zeroes, Revengence, and The Phantom Pain (not yet released). This is a must for any and all Metal Gear fans.
-
Only one thing that could have made it better: Include Portable Ops
-
It does NOT include the following Metal Gear games:Snake's Revenge (NES non-canon spinoff game)Metal Gear: Ghost Babel (GameBoy Color non-canon spinoff game)Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops (PSP sequel to MGS3 Snakeater)Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops Plus (PSP standalone expansion/sequel to Portable Ops)Metal Gear Acid 1&2 (PSP strategy card game adaptations)Metal Gear Online (PS3 spinoff based on Metal Gear Solid 3)Metal Gear Social
-
The only omissions are Portable Ops (and PO+), AC!D 1 and 2, and Ghost Babel
-
Only MGS game it doesn't come with is Portable Ops but other than that it's a pretty decent collection
-
Metal Gear Solid Legacy has almost every single Metal Gear game besides Portable Ops, The Twin Snakes and the Acid
-
The only omissions are Portable Ops (and PO+), AC!D 1 and 2, and Ghost Babel
-
Portable Ops contained some origin stories for important characters such as Roy Camball, Gray Fox and subtle hints of the creation of the Patriots
-
Portable Ops
-
The full collection of Kojima produced games, (aside from Portable Ops) all in one package.
