this game is great fun. if you have a Gamecube, metroid prime, and a GBA/GC cable for god's sake BUY THIS GAME
However the boss fights are completely different, though more simplistic to figure out and less fun to defeat as a result (a problem the original Metroid has as well, might I add).
Overall, buy this if you like Metroid its really fun and gots some fun challenges with it.
Its great Metroid fun with an entirely new cast of enemies, a new mission, blatant levels of the game, but still with Metroid secrets.
You also can link it to Metroid Prime also to get features such as to play the old Metroid which is kinda lame though cause you have to beat both games first, but don't worry, it isn't that fun.
If you enjoyed the sound from Super Metroid then you will like the sounds of Metroid Fusion just as much
And the SOund is very good too , even featurws some very clear voice work , mainlky for the computer in the BSL space station , not Adam though
I am very pleased on just how great the graphics look, How great the sounds are and the playability of this game
wow!metroid advance whoed have thought!this game differs slightly from the SNES{which I also thought was great}there some new moves such as:jump ball {verry usefull},ice bombs, wall jumps are easyer, and you can hold cliffs.10 is highest scoresound:9 true the sound is great it isn't as good as SNESgraphics:10
IF YOU WANT TO EXPERIENCE THE BRILLIANCE OF NINTENDO, PLAY METROID"DON¡¯T MISS IT.
the controls are easy and the moves are easier to learn
The controls are easy to get into and get used to so you won't have any problems controlling Samus
Awesome graphics; great music; solid controls; interesting storyline; nice powerup progression; challengingTHE BAD: Too many "hidden" paths; general scope is pretty small;
I think this game has relatively good controls, but the damage ratio is really stupid.
There's always parts of the Metroid series that kind of confused me as to why I like it
Some of these are a little obscure for my taste -- I prefer nonstop action when playing a side-scroller -- but it doesn't overuse the frustration factor
Plus, you get all the cool action of Metroid games, ultra-suspenseful moments (will your evil clone notice you in the corner?) and a riveting storyline, you simply must get this game
Metroid Fusion is one of the better action titles for the GBA, but it pales in comparison to other games in the Metroid series
IF YOU WANT TO EXPERIENCE THE BRILLIANCE OF NINTENDO, PLAY METROID"DON¡¯T MISS IT.
The Gameplay is just like the SNES version which is a good thing, but it's short lifespan means you won't be playing this game anymore after this year.
I am thoroughly confused as to how this game rates so highly
Parents, if your child has good gameplay skills, this game is a great game.
There's always parts of the Metroid series that kind of confused me as to why I like it
Unlike the sound and graphics, the gameplay of Metroid Fusion is sadly disappointing
She pulls through after receiving a vaccine but not before she had parts of her suit removed because of the infestation, thereby losing her trademark abilities
It seems that the X virus can copy anything it touches, and since it infected Samus with all her best abilities it decided to copy her.
I am thoroughly confused as to how this game rates so highly
What's also good about this game is that Nintendo shakes things up a bit: Samus is now the one that's hunted and normal abilities like the Screw Attack, Varia Suit and etc. are now attained when you beat the bosses that inhabit each
The gameplay never gets repetitive, or as soon as it does, Samus gains a new ability.
There Samus is attacked by aparasitic organism known as X. Her suit was destroyed by the X parasite and almost killed her
Metroid Fusion brought super space heroine Samus Aran back to life on the GBA hte only way you would expect to play her: blasing aliens, space pirates, and any other baddies in her way.
The gameplay never gets repetitive, or as soon as it does, Samus gains a new ability.
Samus is on a survey mission when she is attacked by a parasite called
In an attempt to remove the parasite through the use of an experimental vaccine, Samus unintentionally gains the ability to absorb or "fuse" with these parasites
Most of the most frantic and exciting moments of this game come from encounters with Samus's clone
IF YOU WANT TO EXPERIENCE THE BRILLIANCE OF NINTENDO, PLAY METROID"DON¡¯T MISS IT.
Coming right after Super Metroid and Metroid Other M, Fusion is the perfect culmination of both games, combining the exploration-based gameplay of Super Metroid with the brisk pacing and narrative focus of Metroid Other
The game has some very frustrating and sometimes unforgiving moments, but pushing through it and finding that next step is very rewarding
The music is also very good, and provides some very good effects during tense gameplay moments
Just like the traditional Metroid games you have your laser cannon, bombs, missiles, and the energy tank
Samus is back and every bit as incredible as she was before
To give a compliment, WOW are the missiles and energy tanks hidden extremely well in this game!
The fact that many of Metroid Fusion's missile expansions and energy tanks are cleverly hidden more than any other Metroid game is probably the games biggest strength.
To give a compliment, WOW are the missiles and energy tanks hidden extremely well in this game!
I enjoyed this game very much, It certainly made sitting in a charter bus full of noisy and loud people much more manageable because I could shoot bad guys on my tiny screen
This is a great game for anyone who loves shooting bad guys and dungeon crawling.
There's a whole host of "bad guys," tons of bosses, and weapons gallore that just get better and better

Metroid Fusion is a side-scrolling action game that's more in line with the series' NES origin than its GameCube contemporary, the first-person action game Metroid Prime
In this one, players take the bounty hunter Samus on an extermination mission through a research facility to kill X parasites--nasty creatures that absorb and assimilate the powers of their host
After she survived an X attack through the use of a vaccine made with X parasite DNA, she can now absorb the parasites to regain health and obtain special powers, like the morph ball, space jump, and wave beam
The problem is that the parasites are quickly making their way through the research lab's many dangerous projects and subsuming their abilities
As a special bonus to GameCube owners, Metroid Prime and Metroid Fusion can each unlock special features in the other game via the Nintendo GameCube Game Boy Advance cable
For example, by completing Metroid Fusion, you can unlock the original NES version of Metroid in Metroid Prime
By completing Metroid Prime, you can unlock Samus's fusion suit for use in Metroid Prime.
