It frees up some space on my desk

It has a good space to keep wires from getting pinched when adjusting.

I eventually don't use the shock mount but this works just fine, the arm extension seems to absorb a bit of vibration in my opinion/test, or at least I can move it a bit further away from my desk/table surface, clamping the suspension arm to my desk shelf, clearing some space

It's a good way to free up space on my desk too.
