Microsoft really should reconsider the design for the surface screen if light bleed & bulging/separating is happening this early on in the tablet's life.
Surface Pro, at generation 5, is a good design concept (especially the backstand) but too expensive and misses in terms of stability and responsiveness
Its well designed, light and perfect for what I need, as a University student studying Engineering at the University of Washington
, It is better than ever; the ultra-light Surface Pro gives you total mobile productivity, all-day battery life, plus a softer, ultra-portable design with rounded edges
Core M is pretty fast but is NOT designed for high powered operations and gaming
As I bought an expensive laptop, I would expect it to come with no defections but seems like they sent me one with screen defection
Another pleasure is the docking station that confuses the uninitiated as to the proper insertion and removal
Critiquing the MS Surface Pro to a colleague who was a UI designer, he felt I was being harsh when I said I was disappointed, but agreed with the lack of laptop use and lack of available apps.
It works well as a tablet and as a portable laptop with the keyboard cover.
It is so much more practical in the business world when you’re constantly on the go, not having to slug around a full size laptop
However, OneNote 2016 is atrocious on Windows 10, it froze, lost my notes, or just crashed
To end on a happy note, I have to say that for a few days, I really contemplated getting the new Ipad pro instead of the surface pro
Also, it is worth noting that the "Acme Made" Carry case designed specifically for the surface pro & pen is truly perfect for safely transporting your Surface Pro & Pen
Next, OneNote 2016 is atrocious on this device, it froze, lost my notes, or just crashed more than it worked
The nice little note they packaged in with it saying they tested each replacement extensively and checked them all before sending them out was obviously untruthful
As many complained about the fan noise on the SP4, I wanted to make sure I purchased the new i5 that didn't have a fan
Here is a list of positives and negatives I found with this particular surface
He stopped charging in 2 days - passed to the German service center, they sent me a refurbished, who worked half a
I can be on Excel and downloading big files, and there's no strain or even fan noise because it's fanless
Here are my observations:Pros -+ Quality; this is well made and durable design+ Speed; very fast processor that runs as well as any of my shop's desktops+ Display; so clear and sharp, it is great for graphics work and watching movies+ Quite; no fan noise at all+ Kickstand; really cleaver design that provides a lot of flexibility and comfort when picking a display angle+ Battery Life; very long lasting, rarely needs to be on the
I hate reading on screens as I always prefer in paper form, but the image quality is superb that I don’t feel the need to print out any long articles.-
I lost track to be honest but surface 5th gen actually dies on me 6 months in
Great screen resolution and seems to run every bit as fast as my Intel i7 powered HP desktop.

Once i am finished doing my job it becomes a fantastic e-reader.
I hardly ever used the pen, and the screen is so small that reaching every icon and button is a little bit difficult, kind of like playing "operation".Some of the programs and apps do not adjust to the size and look very blurry, or simply part of the window does not show
There are times when it bogs down a bit (dragging a large number of notes around in OneNote), but in general it handles every task I throw at it just fine.
Here is a list of positives and negatives I found with this particular surface

However, it has 1024 pressure levels of sensitivity as opposed to the three times more expensive Microsoft New Surface Pen with its 4,096 pressure point levels
The new Surface Pen was supposed to be an improvement over the previous generation, but most apps don't support the features Microsoft is marketing (tilt, 4k+ points)
I wonder how Microsoft is not accurate when it posts the Surface Pro description
The new Surface Pen was supposed to be an improvement over the previous generation, but most apps don't support the features Microsoft is marketing (tilt, 4k+ points)
Microsoft has the best in class from factor device for multimedia and profesional work flow consumption and even digital art and non of the OEM'Smanufacturers has a device so complete like this, not even Apple, but they have to work harder in make this device worth it
Another pleasure is the docking station that confuses the uninitiated as to the proper insertion and removal
Yes, they're pricier than a comparable laptop these days (by a lot), but traveling with it is way more comfortable than hauling around a full size laptop with its case and accessories
He stopped charging in 2 days - passed to the German service center, they sent me a refurbished, who worked half a
The problems started day 1, I had the power bug where it would randomly go into hibernation at the worst times
I hate reading on screens as I always prefer in paper form, but the image quality is superb that I don’t feel the need to print out any long articles.-
