I no longer think it is just a fluke, but the very poor quality in production.
I like the ergonomics, I would like the switch quality to be better
I was better off buying a cheap $5 keyboard than this overpriced piece of junk, the letters wear off keys within a month, Microsoft should be ashamed of themselves selling this poor quality keyboard for such a high price.

I have not had any issues with these and the quality is great
I've been using this for about a week and noticed significant improvement in my ability to type longer and not having sore hands and wrists at the end of the week
Since the 'b' key is one I usually hit with my right hand, the inclusion of it on the left side of the keyboard is something I'm still trying to get used to.
It prevents hand cramping and other pain I used to feel with a regular keyboard
I can see someone getting used to it and using their left hand on the keyboard as much as they use their right hand on their mouse
There is a physical break in the left and right hand keys.
I know where the keys are anyway but my wife has trouble when a few keys aren't labelled!Update: changed it to 1 star - keyboard keys completely unreadable, still within warranty period.
One lost star because of the response of the keys, in particular the space key
but I have to knock a star off because the Logitech keyboard this replaced had white key lettering that lasted much longer
Everything, and I mean everything, still works as if it were brand new other than the rubbed off keys
I subtract once star only because the printing on the keys wears off too quickly
The space bar has been a little finicky a couple of times, but not enough to cause a problem
I hope the new one is as reliable--I broke a couple of keyboards from other makers before returning to Microsoft

purchased for my daughter who has carpal tunnel syndrome
Before I had a split keyboard, I was having carpal tunnel syndrome symptoms.
I do believe this will save me from carpal tunnel syndrome!
