Even with those few minor preference issues, this is a phenomenal computer and an excellent option for creatives (whether that's an artist, musician, or writer)

Now, the computer is unable to charge and the batteries are dead... and when searching throughtthe forums looking for a fix, I have come to learn I am not the only one with this issue

Well since my original computer and every repaired version I have gotten since then has had an issue where if you adjust the screen angle it thinks you are disconnecting the screen, it crashes programs that need the screen attached

On a number of occasions, the computer was bumped slightly causing the cord to dislodge and thus was not charging when I thought it was

I'm sure the response is: "we're making it safer for you and harder for your computer to be hacked", but without a feature that automatically saved ALL your work, it is terrible and I hate it.

Having said all that, you'll probably love this computer at first if you're fortunate to be able to afford it: it IS powerful, has a smooth keyboard, can run games like Witcher 3, and looks great

We really like this computer

The computer is fine, but the screen is too small, probably the 15' inch screen would have been better

Maybe that's not an issue for some, but I don't like knowing that my expensive computer can't sustain itself and is slowly taxing its non-replaceable batteries even while plugged

On top of that, the Surface Book 2 has battery issues: Even when plugged it at lowest power settings, your computer will slowly deplete its battery while doing anything moderately intensive (e.g. gaming)

I purchased this to upgrade from a Yoga Pro 2, which was a really great computer for me

Conclusion: If you are a student that uses any program that can't handle disconnecting the screen or anyone who doesn't want to deal with the general hassle of a faulty computer, you should not buy this computer

And I'd forgotten to buy the USB-C adapter, as well, so had to go running around to find the proper adapter for my monitor (HDMI to USB-C)

Lastly, I purchased a cheap USB-C to HDMI adapter for my external monitor and it has worked fine also.
