This machine was recommended and it is the best laptop I have ever owned.

The machine is beautiful, even a mac user can agree

The machined magnesium like matte surface, the gap between the screen and the keyboard (I think it looks beautiful because of it, looks like a closed elegant book), just the right amount of heft as you hold it, it just screams Porsche

I used the machine for approximately 3 weeks and as completely happy and in love with it that I was, all of a sudden my GPU started crashing and one of my main programs I use that heavily uses the GPU would crash as well.

While this machine is good for many things, and has a good graphics card, I don’t think it is designed for high-end gaming.

In its early days there were some software "quirks", with how complex this machine is but all of them have been ironed out and none of them were serious to begin with

so I know it is a great machine.

Coming from a Surface Pro 3, I love this versatile machine.

I intend to use this wonderful machine simply to browse the internet, play music at night while I’m sleeping, and write a few reviews.

This machine is solid, I have added keyboard to my iPad in the past but it was really limited in use that I need to jailbreak it to have better functionality, this Surface Book 2 just does everything that I wanted from the portability aspect of the iPad

Pretty amazing machine I have to admit... fast, sleek, great features, worth the price in my opinion.

I'm really starting to believe I have a faulty machine and will contact Microsoft to inquire about repairs (which I'd gladly do myself if Microsoft didn't make this in a way that's only safe for them to work on) or possibly a replacement device.

This may not cause problems at first, but having the dust be unremovable is a bummer for folks who want to keep their expensive machine in good shape for several years.

Wirecast and the streaming can put a serious hurting on a machine, well most machines... not the new Surface Book 2!Not sure about all the reviews talking about this machine getting hot, so far this machine is cool as a cucumber, i've played Forza 7 on it and a handful of other highly graphic intensive games and to be honest i've never even heard the fan come on.

It has a very expensive look and feel to it, which it should considering that it is a pretty expensive machine

I will try to evaluate the Microsoft Surface Book 2 from the perspective of someone who has other devices already, as well as from the perspective of someone who wants one unit to do it all

I took my time to write this review, so that I spend enough time to use it thoroughly, as well as get feedback from my wife and my elementary school daughter

And I'd forgotten to buy the USB-C adapter, as well, so had to go running around to find the proper adapter for my monitor (HDMI to USB-C)

Lastly, I purchased a cheap USB-C to HDMI adapter for my external monitor and it has worked fine also.
