Only thing about this part of the mesh back that extends out is that it kind of makes squeaky noise, not loud, but if you work in complete silence with other people and like to lean back and forth a lot, I can see it getting annoying after a while.

My only issue with this chair is that it does creek and make noises when leaning back and when you initially sit down

I keep the tilt/recline lever pulled out so that my chair doesn't make any clicking noises as I rock throughout the day, and this has no negative impact on my posture or ability to sit up
