The only thing I don't like is that you can't change the station of the weather scanner with the channel changing knob
this thing is great for the price and just fantastic over all has a lot more
The NOAA weather radio is by far my favorite thing about this radio, There is nothing online or any where else that can give you local accurate weather updates like NOAA does, NOAA uses "Weather spotters" To give up to the minute weather during hazardous weather, It will track a lighting storm and tell you where it will hit and approximately what time
Having the weather function is a nice thing, though the radio is so sensitive, it will pick up the second closest station instead of the first, and IT not YOU selects which weather station to listen to

Weather channels are clear, autoselect hasn't given me trouble
weather channel works well when l need it.l'am okay with using it
Only thing works is the weather channel, I received one scew to put the Mic holder on, and wind up putting in another screw which the head of it broke off the CB radio does not work
Weather channels work fantastic, very clear; you can key the mic to flip through channels and pressing the CB/PA button gives it a volume boost

Small, Clean, Easy operation plus weather band! perfect unit for storm spotting, talking with your bubbies or helping your local REACT chapter.
and I liked how compact this unit was and that I can get the weather band with it.
Two different units have the same problem
Visual inspection of the failed unit showed nasty cold-solder spattered all over the board, and what appeared to be an insect leg soldered across pins that shouldn't have been connected.
The inner and outer knobs for the RF gain and squelch don't have enough resistance, and usually turning one causes the other to rotate in the same direction
There are not many radios with an RF gain, PA option, and weather band in this size, for this price
Unfortunately when ground noise levels are high it tends to bleed through the squelch and the RF gain regardless of the settings

I keep the 5 ft. in the jeep for optional change out if, I want greater reception
The second disappointment was the reception
but it does have reasonable reception and speaker clarity is very good
UPDATE 1/14/2013: 10 months later, everything I previously said holds true, but I just started losing my reception intermittently...turns out the CB/weather-scanner switch is now finicky
The squelch and RF gain take a bit of getting used to, but once you find the right balance, you can extract excellent reception
