This powder is very good, if when cutting your dogs nails they move as you push the handles togethr, sometimes you end up cutting the nail just a wee bit shorter than you should have done, which means you end up cutting the kwik

We pulled back each side of the cut to expose as much of the wound possible, poured a bit of styptic powder into it, and then applied light pressure to the wound to compact the powder, and then proceeded to wrap the wound with clean gauze

This is a very handy powder to have when you have pets, and it works wellwhen you are clipping their nails.

He would sometimes lick it off if we couldn't get the powder to "set/harden" in time, but generally once it stopped bleeding, he didn't try to lick it.

Rarely do I cut into the quick; however, when I accidentally do this, this powder works fast to stop the bleeding.
