I haven't had any issues and would highly recommend it over the more expensive name-brand kettles that seem to break down often.

so because of my pet peeve-ish issue, i actually hover around the kettle waiting to pick it up before the beep temp is reached

Its lightweight and the lid works well (I've had issues with the latching mechanisms not working properly on other kettles).

Now and probably the worst issue, the kettle makes loud popping and snapping sounds.

After about a month of use, the issue has gotten so bad that it can take forever to open the lid.

I can't return it, because the issue starts to float after the return window ... so beware.
