You can add a swimming diary entry, but when I did so using the stopwatch timer, it calculated 84 calories burned for a 64 minute swim, and there is no way to enter calories burned from a calorie calculator.

I'm now convinced that the only safe way to handle this tracker is to wear it on a bracelet during the night, that way the worst you can do is lose it in bed

Last but not least the Misfit Shine 2 can be used as a remote button with the Misfit Link App (iOS and Android) as well as syncing your activity and sleep data to the cloud based service via the Misfit App (iOS, Android and Windows (PC & Mobile).So very few trackers provide this all-in-one package

Alarm is a great idea but not powerful enough to wake me up, though it does work if I'm just snoozing

The Misfit Shine 2 does everything that the previous Misfit Shine did and so much more with the same elegant, yet slightly slimmer, styling

The same can be said for the Misfit Ray- they advertise it with lots of cool accessories/options and then don't release them, although the Ray has more options for bands right now than this Shine 2 does

The Shine 2 does look nicer and only requires a light tap

This product has serious design flaws: the round thingie falls out when you bump it a certain way

This seems like a design flaw to me if the only people who can replace the battery apparently know a trick or two I don't!

I contacted their support group and they pretty much just patted me on the head and said "too bad".Do not buy this until they fix the obvious design flaw that allows the tracker disc to fall out

This is my first negative product review, I have had this device for less than 3 months, the tracker kept popping out of the band, well the inevitable has happened, tracker popped out and I cannot find it, I am left with the band and feel so terrible getting this product at the price point I could have purchased 2 other products

Unable to find instructions on the Misfit website on how to reinitiate pairing, I thought I'd cycle the power on the Shine by removing its battery, so I watched the manufacturer's video on how to replace the battery

I bought my tracker through the Misfit website, and it was a great value at only $9.99

The Misfit website had trouble shooting information, but that did not work

The website is useless, and customer service just referred me to the website.

Just to see how they would react I submitted a complaint on the fitbit forum (the unit claims rain resistance)

After losing the unit out of the band several times over the past year, and finding it, I've finally lost it for good.

I answered all of their questions and explained about the additional difficulties (the apparent inaccurate logging, and not being able to remove the unit's back; my wife may have been willing to live with the inaccuracy, but without being able to remove the back, when the battery eventually died the unit would be worthless).A day later, after getting no further response from Misfit Support, my wife returned the Shine 2 to the store where she'd purchased it.
