Check out the features, you won't get a better product for a better price.
Still at half the price of the others I lived with clips failing and even figured out a safety chain because if you use clip you will lose the device unless you add a safety chain

Personally, I love the fact that you don't have to charge the battery and just have to replace it after 6 months or so
My 1 star are for all the agony and pain with this product and the fact that Misfit Support has not been able to find a possible resolution in more than 4 months
My only criticism is that it pops out of the wrist band and it very easy to lose (as you will see from other reviews)

You're supposed to triple tap before starting exercise, but I experimentally tried skipping that step and the app still registered it as "intense activity," which is enough for my needs.

I have also worn it swimming and the monitor works very well that way also.
(The sleep tracking works very well - the Shine does a good job of sensing sleep and the app shows the data clearly.)
I found that it was pretty poor at measuring real work or strenuous climbs, pretty much just measuring your steps the same whether you were walking on level ground, uphill, digging ditches, making love, etc

Ok, so I tried just now and it worked as it should, showing progress and then time
After reading the numerous reviews and looking at other activity monitors I decided to go with the Misfit Shine as I wanted something that would integrate with my business clothing, provide accurate readings for activities, monitor my sleep cycle, and I really wanted something that was waterproof.
The magnetic clasp or sport band is very flimsy, and after a swimming session, the magnetic clasp came undone and is now lost somewhere, and the watch can't be too far away from the phone when trying to sync, so it makes it nearly impossible for me to find it
I decided it was too bulky to wear alongside my misfit and wanted to try out the magnetic clasp on a night out and lost it the first time I used it!After reading some of the reviews i saw that some people were installing the misfit into the wrist band wrong and even saw a very misleading picture of someone using the magnetic clasp to secure it to the band

The item had already been opened, was missing the wrist strap, and when I went to link it to my Misfit account it was locked to another user and now cannot be used by me.

So they "upgraded" it again to included a lovely (NOT) overlay that pops up when your device and the shine won't sync that prevents the syncing by blocking the screen and wants you to (1) Talk to them via email from the device and give your phone number where they can call you - soooooo not interested in talking to them or them to me (I have bad, bad things to say to them) and (2) Wants to know if the stupid overlay is helpful
