Best activity monitor I have ever bought.

If you need a reliable activity tracker that will give you accurate data consistently, pick something that might be more expensive, but will actually work.

BUT while it does a fairly good job at registering the steps, and it breaks up the activity through the day in light, moderate, vigorous it is not accurate at all when it comes to what kind of activity one is doing

All things considered, for the money it has been a great activity tracker.

but if you are looking for a good activity tracker I would recommend garmen.

This is the most attractive activity tracker, but certainly not the most enabled

The Shine registered no activity at all during my 60 minute pilates reformer lesson (less cardio, but light sweat, muscle fatigue), so I had to manually record that as yoga, since there's no pilates option.

I liked that it didn't look like all the other activity monitors out there

MISFIT offered to replace, but who wants the aggravation just to monitor activity.

It is basically just inexpensive activity and sleep tracker and for the price of either, Flash or Shine, I really don't know what people expect

This is the second inexpensive activity tracker I have returned because of what seem to be design flaws, and I have resolved to shop for them only in brick and mortar stores where I can make sure they work while I am still in the store.

You're supposed to triple tap before starting exercise, but I experimentally tried skipping that step and the app still registered it as "intense activity," which is enough for my needs.

It has activity tagging especially like running or swimming which I use

I tried just extending the walk time, but that's not accurate, I'm sure, and brings me to another problem - whether the Shine characterizes activity as "light", "moderate" or "vigorous" seems to depend only on duration, not actual exertion.

I bought the so-called "Speedo" version of Shine from Misfit site directly in Sep as soon as it's available, and was highly expecting it

My only criticism is that it pops out of the wrist band and it very easy to lose (as you will see from other reviews)

I always wear it on my wrist but there is the option of wearing it as a sort of lanyard type thing as well as you can buy additional pieces to wear it as a necklace etc
