Coupe weeks later my Misfit did not record my sleep at all, I have zero hours in my app.
There seem to be a few glitches in the software, such as occasional missed sleep data, and one day where it logged all my activity but only awarded me 21 points
It supposedly tracks "restful" sleep, "light" sleep, and "awake"

I purchased this with the hopes of tracking my sleep as well as my activity
Sure you wont have some of the more advanced features but in my eyes just the waterproof feature is worth it.

When it comes to it working, this product would get 5 stars... however, the accuracy, great app, lack of needing to be charged, and all the other features become useless once you find out that wearing it as a watch will end up causing you to lose the tracker
Not very user friendly, had to return item 3 times before I got one to work, features very limited, back hard to get off to change battery
Here are all the things I love about my Shine:- Swimming - accurately tracks time and effort and converts it to points.- Other Sports - easily switches to activities such as biking and tennis.- Sleep - my favorite feature - I don't know how it is so accurate on the amt of restful
My only criticism is that it pops out of the wrist band and it very easy to lose (as you will see from other reviews)

Band broke after a few weeks, causing me to lose the device.
After reading the numerous reviews and looking at other activity monitors I decided to go with the Misfit Shine as I wanted something that would integrate with my business clothing, provide accurate readings for activities, monitor my sleep cycle, and I really wanted something that was waterproof.
The Shine seemed to report that I burned significantly more calories than the Up Move did.
by 8:06 am when I synced it with my iphone app, it said I took 748 steps and burned 622 calories ???
Pretty accurate, when run I also wear a TomTom runner's GPS watch because displays pace (also a worthy device) and Shine's reading of distance, calories is reasonably similar
I was really hoping this would work out as I needed an activity tracker for the swimming pool.
I find that I really do want to meet my activity goals, both for sleep as well as for physical activity
I have linked the Misfit app with the MyFitnessPal app and between the two have lost 40 pounds this year
As of today, I have lost 32 pounds, thanks to Misfit Shine for keeping me in track.
I, like so many others, lost my Misfit Shine because of the cheap-o plastic band that comes with it
and it's helped me lose 16 pounds, so it's close enough for me!
