Many negative reviews seem to pertain to software fixed long ago

, I’m not sure all of the negative reviews here on Amazon are still valid

After reading a slew of negative reviews on here with the same issue, though, and also having email be the company's source of resolution (rather than, you know, a phone call), I decided to just go for a refund.

I bought 4 as gifts on the black Friday sale directly from misfit, so not through Amazon, but would have appreciated more reviews, so am posting here

All in all, I am very pleased with this product and even more so pleased that I didn't give into the bad reviews on this page because I am happy I own my Misfit shine!

I was excited to receive this after seeing the mostly positive reviews

(Don't be afraid of other bad reviews, i waited weeks to finally order it and i wish i had ordered sooner!)

But I just can't write a positive review for a wearable that doesn't seem to want you to wear it!

Watch strap is very poor quality and I can see why so many reviews say that the misfit falls out of the watch

After reading many of the Misfit Shine reviews, I was almost put off from purchasing one, if not for the fact that I've used the Misfit Flash with great success

It took me a long time to commit to buying the Spedo Shine because of the inconsistent user reviews

I've never said this out loud about a company, but I am convinced that a great portion of their glowing reviews are planted, fake, in an effort to drive sales

The Misfit Shine and Flash are both great little products and deserve much better reviews, than they are getting

I'm sure the worst reviews came from the south as when I was on vacation, the warmth in the summer made the plastic ring very soft and it fell out constantly

I loved my shine however the bands r horrible

I will admit, I lost my first Shine at work when it fell out of the wrist band, however I really like the new band with the locking mechanism

A texturized surface and better retention system would make this device more useful and vastly extend the service life by preventing premature loss such as I and so many other reviewers experienced
