The Shine 2 is actually the best fitness tracker I have used in a while (I have owned and used the Jawbone UP, Jawbone UP24, Jawbone UP 2, Fitbit Flex, Fitbit Force, Fitbit Charge HR, and Misfit Shine over the past few years), however its Sports Band wristband and plastic clip are so bad that simply wearing the Shine 2 around the house can lead to losing a $99 device!

I still think it is too big for my wrist and sometimes miss the smaller, elegant look of the original

It's got some nice features, but it's still lacking where it counts for me - sleep tracking

Now they added colored lights which also a nice added feature

and we are still lacking some features that apple has had for quite some

A few times after it fell out, it was lost in my apartment, but even with the "I'll light up if I'm lost" feature, it wasn't found for days (an audio beep or a non-phone related vibrate option would have been a lot better in locating it)

I loved my misfit shine and was SUPER excited about the new "misfit move" feature where it tell you to get up after a certain amount of inactivity

I have been using my Misfit Shine 2 for nearly 2 weeks now (I received an early release as an existing Shine user).

I damaged my misfit Shine and decided to replace it with a Shine 2.

I assumed that since the original Shine was so great, the Shine 2 had to be awesome

The stock Misfit bands are the primary reason both Shine and Shine 2 get terrible reviews

and it got good reviews on tracking this.

In looking for a new fitness tracker, I wanted one that could be worn with a clip, was waterproof (not just water resistant), and would sync with Weight Watchers (Weight Watchers is discontinuing their ActiveLink monitor and has a very short list of devices that will sync with their program).I started looking right before the Misfit Shine 2 was released, and the Misfit Shine seemed to have everything I was looking for, but the consistent reviews about the poor design of the band and clip leading to the loss of the devise gave me pause.

Misfit support has been marginal at best, just running through "try again' advice and repeated steps that request more and more information.

I am really happy now and thanks to the wonderful and nice support from Misfit

However, I must say that Misfit support has been premium taking into consideration customers feedback

I contacted Misfit support who quickly replied and offered me to send back a new Shine 2 and a brand new action clip to attach to the band and should supposedly holding the Shine 2 perfectly

I finally "resolved" the sports band issue by pulling the sides of the band off of the Shine 2 and using them to hold the Shine 2 against the plastic backing, which in turn connected to the band.

Within the first 3 weeks the battery died yet the app always indicated the battery as full.

I read all of the reviews about the battery popping out and loosing it, as well as the inconveniences of battery removal for charging it.
