The look and feel is great but the the don't erase quite well and not due to the quality to the earaser

Very smooth writer (not as smooth as blackwing but very pleasant)- Point retention is slightly better than average.

Sharpen them with a good sharpener and you don't need much pressure to scribe really dark lines

They feel good in your hands and with the right sharpener, sharpen to a very nice, sharp point

Note that you will need a sturdy pencil sharpener as the wood is strong

I'd also second all the other good things people have to say about these (the darkness, eraser, sharpening ability; everything).

The point stays sharp for a long time and writes smoothly

I didn't want to risk losing points that way and we aren't allowed to bring separate

For the normal everyday uses of a pencil, I prefer the Mitsubishi, which also takes a sharp point and does not fracture easily.

Finally, I would emphasize the great build quality of those pencils, this the only reason to give 4 stars.
