For me, I love the incredible flexibility of the fuzz

Overall id highly recommend as an affordable awesome little purple tank of a fuzz box.

Once you start tweaking the controls you can find a pretty good variety of sounds from distortion to fuzz that cleans up pretty well with your volume knob

Now take into consideration I play mostly Gibson LP's with P90's - not humbuckers - so you may lose some of the great high end of this pedal with PAF's or other noise canceling double coils, but when I run straight through this pedal into my Fender Deluxe with a little reverb it gives me exactly the tone I've been seeking for years - endless sustaining fuzz without the loss of chord

You get that nice low end fuzz, while your higher strings remain clear and maintain their individual tone and clarity

But you can also dial in some sharper fuzz/distortion tones as well

It's VERY quiet in the noise/buzz department, the quietest fuzz/distortion/overdrive on my board yet, and I have some overdrives that are 3 times as much money

Assuming you have a decent guitar, pickups, and amp then this thing sounds very very good

I was able to dial in Manic Depression, Foxey Lady, Vincebus Eruptum, and Led Zeppelin live in Denmark 1969 to name a few

With adjustment you can dial in a ton of different tones from 60's and early 70's stuff such as: Jimi Hendrix, Blue Cheer, Early Led Zeppelin

and you've got a nice, early Weezer tone (anything from 1994-1996 and various demos), and crank it past 2 o'clock and BAM!

I like a really fat fuzz sound and was set on Death By Audio's Fuzz War pedal at $150.

So yes I liked the sound of this one, based on quality, sound, and price

So then I plugged it into my LP copy and darker sounding amp (Dean Markley and it sounded much much better

While I was really only looking for a fat fuzz sound, I have been pleasantly surprised with the versatility of the settings.

With a little tweaking I could conjure up the Beatles "Revolution" as well as some Jesus and Mary Chain type sounds
