Reviews around version (5.00 of 5)

  • Besides if you're an analog stick user the 360 is the way to go because it's a better version
  • The Xbox 360 version is perfectly fine and I am sooo glad I have it
  • Finally today I got the 360 version and so far its amazing!
  • So maybe check them out on You-Tube for a grin and go back to the rich and fully-satisfying Xbox version.
  • I'm not bashing the PS3 version though, it is basically equal to the 360 version and vice versa

Reviews around combo (4.26 of 5)

  • All the cool and classic characters are back, great combos, super moves, the X-ray thing is awesome wow
  • The combos aren't too easy and the 2D fighting plane is awesome.
  • but this game had me addicted than any other games i had including call of duty if u like the mortal kombat series get this game its the best out of all of them bringing back gory fatalities and awesome combos
  • This game is great, the new x-ray attacks and awesome combos you can pull off are great
  • Seeing a return to two dimensional fighting is a major plus, adding to the challenge and the ability to perform more complex combos similar to those seen within Capcom fighting games

Reviews around kombat (4.22 of 5)

  • This is one of the best Mortal Kombat games I've ever played
  • A couple years later, Mortal Kombat : Deception is released
  • As everyone knows, Mortal Kombat hasn't been the best as of late
  • It's the same bloody, awesome Mortal Kombat everyone knows, just looks better.
  • there really hasnt been a good mortal kombat game in a while

Reviews around mode (4.19 of 5)

  • I find the controls easy to grasp and the special moves easy to perform (even with the problematic D pad of the Xbox 360's controller). The graphics are pretty good overall, but some of the characters' skins and faces - especially Liu Kang's - look a bit weird
  • Love the online mode, and all the new modes it has like the tower
  • Mode"Call me "insane" but I always believed fighting games benefited from having a good story line.
  • This MK game also contains a cool story mode to play through as well
  • the game is pretty great, the modes are fun, and have all the classic characters from the olds mk, the xbox live king of the hill is fun and a great game mode, one thing i dont like is the lag, they have to fix the servers , but overall is a great game, its worth to buy it.

Reviews around fight (4.16 of 5)

  • What began as an immensely popular arcade fighter back in the early 90s, has slowly devolved into a mediocre fighting game that always felt "rushed" and never felt complete
  • Overall it's a great fighting game, with a lot of characters to choose from and unlock, a very nice (much better than other recent fighting games) story mode, a challenge tower mode, and a superb multiplayer feature.
  • The inclusion of Kratos is a great bit of fan service, but the majority of fans will spend their time playing with "klassic" characters from the MK world, and this game has plenty of familiar faces to satisfy long time fans of the infamous fighting franchise
  • The fighting is fierce and the fatalities are nice and gruesome
  • This is a solid fighting game with tons of things to do!You can fight headless, armless, with rainbow blood, etc

Reviews around story (4.13 of 5)

  • I guess Ed Boon finally realized that he botched-up the story so badly, that he had start form scratch
  • The graphics are great, the fatalities are bloody, the story is awesome, and there are secrets to be found
  • No one can dispute the graphics of this game, but what always lacked in the game was story
  • It then began to become convoluted with ho-hum mechanics and convoluted stories
  • This game has excellent graphics and is a great addition to the Mortal Kombat "games" been following it since I was a kid and am super happy that they finally released it!Game play is awesome story is cool too

Reviews around mk (4.12 of 5)

  • MK3 was different - but still cool...only to be succeeded by ULTIMATE MK3, which in my opinion was the last GREAT MK game
  • A superb game for the super MK fan and for fighters in general
  • In short, "Mortal Kombat" is the GREATEST MK game in 15 years, hands down
  • The past few games were decent, but this one is probably the best MK to date.
  • the controls are amazing if your a mk geek u will fall right back into the grove of things with air kombat, juggles, kombo breakers, special powerups, X-rays and more, and begginers will also find it fun and not to technical

Reviews around character (3.89 of 5)

  • It's crystal clear except my one and only complaint is sometimes in the story mode far away characters aren't loud
  • Hell there's so many characters that died in the story, I don't even know what's cannon and what's not anymore
  • All the cool and classic characters are back, great combos, super moves, the X-ray thing is awesome wow
  • All the classic characters and favorites included in the game are well represented
  • It brings back pretty much all the classic characters and levels

Reviews around graphic (3.87 of 5)

  • My favorite mortal combat game, excellent graphics and the controls are spot on.
  • However this is a good game ... nice graphics and interesting new characters.
  • I saw a few reviews talking about bad graphics, and its a shame, cause on my 60" Sony LED, its just incredible
  • The PS3 version is just as good, the graphics are great and the play is awesome
  • I really liked the game, very funny and excellent graphics

Reviews around fighter (3.81 of 5)

  • This game is simply amazing in every way, as it brings you back all those years of playing a great fighter with for its time great graphics and never before seen violence
  • (I myself refuse to cheat my way past challenge 265)In addition, DLC already includes 4 new fighters, klassic character kostumes and klassic fatalities with more reportedly on the way
  • Just don't go into it thinking that it will be the greatest 2D fighter this gen, and don't go into it thinking that it will offer you tools and mechanics to take the game to a highly advanced level of
  • During a fight, tap both controller triggers from the right distance and watch your fighter of choice level the playing field by crushing your opponent's spleen, breaking their neck, or smashing their face in, with the camera zooming in on all of the damage that's being inflicted under the skin
  • The plot goes like this:Shao Kahn has won and has killed every fighter and is about to merge the realms

Reviews around gamers (2.54 of 5)

  • Like many other gamers I spent alot of time in my younger years begging my mom and grandma for quarters, so I could sneak off into the dark smokey arcade for some Mortal Kombat!
  • Like many other gamers I spent alot of time in my younger years begging my mom and grandma for quarters, so I could sneak off into the dark smokey arcade for some Mortal Kombat!
  • it thwarts those cheap gamers that will hold out for used copies of this game only to find out it will cost them virtually the same if it were new
  • You are basically required to input your combo as fast as you can with no regard for anything resembling timing (unless you are extending a combo with an air juggle)

Reviews around alliance (2.12 of 5)

  • You are basically required to input your combo as fast as you can with no regard for anything resembling timing (unless you are extending a combo with an air juggle)
  • The games during the 2000 era, Deadly Alliance, Deception, and Armageddon, as well as Shaolin Monks, have all had things about them that made them extremely fun, but they didn't exactly seem as nostalgic and the gameplay was a bit different than what we were used to
  • On games such as Deadly Alliance and Deception, classic character moves such as Cyrax's net, Sektor's homing missiles, Scorpion's scissor kick, and most notably Shang Tsung's morphing ability
  • Quite a good game, reverted back to the old MK style which I dont feel to be as fun as the older titles such as Deceptions or Deadly Alliance but worth buying regardless, and It works perfectly on the PAL platform for all you Aussies looking to buy it.
  • For as much as I enjoyed Deadly Alliance, Deception, and Armageddon, it still felt like the franchise was a shadow of its former self

Reviews around gore (1.00 of 5)

  • The crazy gore is back, with some pretty awesome and extreme stuff like the "x-ray" attacks (AWESOME!!)The crazy finishing moves are back, just... in general I am in awe of the job they did here
  • It's really that good."But" if you've never understood the hype around MK or if you detest excessive pointless gore and violence I warn you that this entry will not sway your stance
