So the point of this review is to tell you to just buy the Motorola modem so much better performance wise,
Anyone on my "node" who has an older modem or probably the one from the cable company is not going to have as many channels available to I should get better performance
It's not the fastest modem out there, but it delivers better performance than the Arris rental modem.
Comcast's modem also had slower actual performance; this one actually gets the performance we're paying for.
Speed-wise, it delivered better performance than the rental it replaced.

The blue lights are not very bright which is a good thing as it is in my bedroom.
The lights are not super bright like on some Arris modems.*On/Off button on the back.*Two year warranty.*Best of all, no more $8 a month fee from TWC for their outdated modem
Anyway this is perfect the lights aren’t too annoying like other modems that have bad reviews
I ordered this within a few weeks of it's release because I couldn't stand the glaring lights of the Arris models
Really good modem and the LED lights on the front are not too bright which is a plus!

and I assume it is the router, is that occasionally a user (of several users on the same network) will lose their internet
Our internet is so much faster than the rental modem we had from Cox plus no more monthly rental fees!
It took two months of unreliable internet to realize that the problem was this modem that did not detect when it had lost signal, and could not be detected by the ISP when it went into this state where all the lights indicated it was online, but it wasn't
Great product, my husband set it all up and the internet is fantastic, no complaints.
Purchased this one hoping our internet would get better and it worked great

Prior to failing completely, I noticed that it powered off episodically
so the drop out does not appear to be the modem itself - the dirt cheap power supply seems to be the cause
I also measured the idle power consumption of the modem using a kill-a-watt device
Since it's within warranty, I'm contacting tech support, but I think I'm modem shopping again!Update: according to the tech support specialist, my issue is 'corrupted firmware' OR a bad power supply and the modem needs to be replaced.
After a quick hookup to the coaxial cable and powering it on, I called Time Warner technical support.

After hours of IT buddy trying to set up discovered the IP sync issue, TWC no real help as their friendly service techs cannot reset IP and if you don't have a computer with a land connection you are stuck
I renewed my router's WAN IP just in case but received the same dynamic public IP from the cable modem (was not needed step)
This modem installed just fine with Comcast, however Comcast refused to issue a static IP using it, regardless of the router it is attached to
I need the performance of a hard wire network, and have many devices to deal with and had to configure the router to consume a static IP from this modem.
