The radios work well to reasonable line-of-sight ranges (sorry if you're expecting these to work better than real-world physics will allow), and the included NOAA weather alert feature (when set, radios turn on and the weather alert radio message is heard) is a real boon for many outdoor activities like backpacking or kayaking.

I got around 1 mile of clear communication in the city

Range for clear voice communication is about 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile in my suburban neighborhood.

I gave it one star because it didnt come with the cool clear ear piece they show... it came with the standard POS headset thats so big itd get stuck in a open bottle and its hard plastic, i hope its blood proof cuz this ear piece may make you bleed if not then definitly sore atleast

I just poured all the crappy Motorola product back into the box and mailed back and they processed my return quickly

Occasionally we get some interference but overall the product is nice

I like the retransmit feature, in an emergency it may give you a lot more range.

I had to disable that feature when using game calls.

We could have used less expensive radios but the waterproof feature is important because we are frequently wading.

The batteries do not hold a charge, sort of ok range, definitely not 35 miles (that was expected), they were cumbersome on the hunt.

Range is excellent in low lying areas but in a thick wooded and valley mountainous area you tend to break up a little.

I use these on my hunting land and they have great range and the battery life is excellent

Range more like 3-5 miles in small hills with woods and yes maybe 35 with line of sight, but they work great hunting and caravan driving a few miles apart
