These are awesome great battery life, we use them at my Dollar General and they get dropped all the time, and still look and work great

The battery pack is sized as if it should be three AA batteries, but if you read the capacity rating (800 mAh), you will realize that's less than half the capacity of a typical AA.Replacing the pack with rechargable AA batteries will more than double the battery life, but you lose the ability to recharge via the micro USB port

I plan to use them for car rides where we have to take 2 cars to fit everyone, as well as when my kids go to their grandmothers in town so they can still talk to us without having to use the phone
