These are radios work great and are well made with a good communication range capable of working in a multi-level warehouse.

They feel well built and while not waterproof, they feel water resistant (I haven't tested that though).These are very good radios as long as you realize the claimed '25 mile range' isn't likely in most real-world scenarios.

The battery was still good but it would not charge in the defective radio

Even the best FRS radio, regardless of company or model will have very poor range.

If someone is close enough for you to actually see them, this radio will probably work fine

One option is to add one of the more expensive Talkabout radios later.

I plan to use them for car rides where we have to take 2 cars to fit everyone, as well as when my kids go to their grandmothers in town so they can still talk to us without having to use the phone
