tech recommended resetting them, by pulling out the battery and letting them sit for over an hour... as silly as that was, it worked and the units haven't had an issues since!i've locked the buttons so my kids don't accidentally mess around with the units.
Battery life is good if you use the battery pack that is supplied
Battery life is great so far and audio quality is clear and crisp
Audio is fairly clear and the battery life was excellent
They worked well & the battery life was quite exceptional for standby use
Instead of buying terrible, cheap kids walkie-talkies, "Santa" got these for two brothers, age 11 and 7, and they were worth every penny
All the kids in our neighborhood use these and we all love them.
Coverage all over the mountain, clear audio, small, easy to push and kids can use to radio if lost.
My kids love these - and it's great for me too (no more screaming from the kitchen when dinner is ready).
The kids are getting the hang of the coordination to use (push, hold, talk, release), but need some occasional reminders as they get pretty excited using them.
I haven't used them at a great distance, but they have worked fine on small camping trips with Cub Scouts.
Really clear signal for a good distance and a great size for kids
Work pretty good have not tried them long distance yet just a mile or so.

Staff love them - easy to use , setup and have a great distance
I will be buying cheaper radios so I can replace them more frequently.
The radios work very well, but the plug for the charger falls out of the socker.
The radios themselves work great and arrived in a timely
Ill admit, I was hopeful to get better range than that, thinking the 23 mile range radios would work at least a little better than the cheaper 5 mile range radios we already have, but it doesn't.

But user manual was missing the actual icons throughout the entire document to know what to actually press to use it and therefore not usable (as you can see in the attached photo).
They hold charges for a couple hours, clip on clothes easily and work as far as we need them (a few blocks radius).
Got it for our family camping trip and it worked just as far as it said it would.
User manual is missing the symbol of the button that need to be pushed, held

Not recommended as it was a complete waste of money from the start.

Since they were not purchased with the intention of using them a a distance greater than a mile or two this is not a problem.

There are a lot of holes on the outside of the radio for the sound to travel out of - which I believe have let the metal dust to gather around the speaker cone thus keeping it from functioning correctly.
We live in an apartment complex and she lives in the building behind me, these are fricken great for just regular day to day communication!

My boyfriend and I got these in hopes that we would have a fun, easy way to communicate because we live in the same apartment complex but in different buildings and also go to the same nearby college

We used this on vacation on a cruise ship to communicate easily without having the need to purchase expensive wifi connection onboard to call/message using our mobile device.
Mom says they work great and the connection is very clear
my 8 y/o son complained the ptt button is a little hard to push.

I don't know whether the 23-mile range is accurate, since the connection wasn't that good after a few blocks, but then, there were buildings in the way

At the present time here is what is wrong with this purchase:1: The instructions were missing the icons of what button you pressed for what ever option you were trying to accomplish with blank spaces.2: The walkie talkie part does not work on any channel and all settings are the same on both Radios
Instructions are missing EVERY SINGLE ICON, and unfortunately, only uses icons to give instructions.

User manual is missing the icons so you have no idea what button they want you to press...it seems this problem has been going on for at least a year based on old reviews stating the same problem.
