Mount-It! Speaker Floor Stands for Surround Sound Home Theaters, 18 Inch High, 22 Lbs Capacity, Tempered Glass and Aluminum, Clear and Silver, One Pair

    • In addition, the round aluminum ring on top plates are bent badly on both sides
    • Other stands I considered were center speaker stands since they also have a large base plate and top plate, if you want a short, heavy stand with a large top plate consider the Sanus SFC18-B1.
    • I have slightly oversized bookshelf speakers on them - the footprint of the speakers is slightly larger than the top plate of the stand - and they work great.
    • The stands come in one box and appears to be very well packaged to avoid breaking the tempered glass plates.
    • Fits my KEF LS-50s nicely with just a bit of the stand's top plate extending beyond the speakers
    • The top and bottom plates are made of black tempered glass (which looks very nice).
    • Top glass plate is about an inch or so smaller all sides than the speaker(s) footprint but stays in place if using the "sticky pads".
    • In China appeared on the top plate where you can't removedWhen I received mine, there was only Temper Glass label that you can't removedNo big deal tho, speakers will hide them away
    • One of the aluminum tubes that supports the upper plate has slots cut in the top and bottom of the tube to allow you to route the speaker wires up through the stands.
    • This stand provides the larger top plate and base needed for a larger speaker (see product description). It comes with short spiked feet which are good on short carpet, for added stability on thicker carpet I ordered the Dayton Audio DSS3-BK (available from Amazon) to pierce my thicker carpet and get down to the wood sub flooring underneath.
