The shape of it is very comfortable too, beats out the straight-tube-shape ones I've been using for decades!!Especially nice to alternate with the regular ones, cuts down on hand-cramping for longer playing times.
These noters are just the right shape and size, making it easy to play my dulcimer.

I needed/wanted something better - and this is it!Simple and small, shaped to be held while a string is held down and sliding easily up and down the dulcimer, this handsome wooded noter is just what I was hoping to find
Nice grip, hard wood, smooth finish
Came in a timely manner and it is made from a nice hard wood
A noter should be made of the very hardest wood possible, and a cheap dowel noter will last only a few weeks.
