This is much better than the magnet type phone holder, in my opinion, as it doesn't spike your phone like a football while traveling on harsh Michigan roads.

I find that inserting it into the second from bottom blade of the vent allows the bottom of the holder to be supported by the dash, adding for greater stability on bumpy roads
