I LOVE the IDEA of this product because it does not use the vents but the CD player in the car to hold the phone.
This second one seems sturdier but even when I tighten the screw to secure the holder in the CD slot, it still feel like it might eventually fall off as I adjust the angle of my phone

Disappointed, my old one works thought I was defective, guess it's a design flaw
Installed easily, and works well so far... very good for the price...
This works good on my dramax with automatic; not so good on my dodge 1 ton with manual.
Had a bit of trouble retaining swivel which attaches phone holder to base, but received info from the vendor which I followed & it seems to be working well now.
The cd slot works great, compared to the air vents that can’t hold the weight of the phone

I used this for my IPhone and it was an easy setup and works as advertised

It does make a rattle noise on bumpy or gravel road
Need to replace because a funny noise and they took the initiative

The magnetic ones requires a magnet to adhere to the back of your phone which destroyed my laptop screen as I often place my phone on top of laptop at work and when going to bed
I like this unit because it doesn't hide the screen menu like other devices.

Only minor issue is if you have a rear view monitor on your dashboard this holder will obstruct the screen

The box was torn, the plastic it was inside the box was torn too and the padded envelope it was shipped in didn't protect squat!

I've messed around with the suction cup mounts, and the magnet types, but each have their downsides (suction fades, magnet has to be attached to your phone in some manner)
I have had all the other types of car mounts; Suction cup, air vent, magnetic
Might not work for every car depending on your CD port location, but for my 2008 Mazdaspeed 3, it's perfect!!I've tried several other types, suction cup, air vent, this is my favorite.

When I upgraded to the new Note 8, my vent clip holder didn't really work well
I wish I was able to use a vent clip for my phone, instead, but this will have to do :/
I recommend this phone holder and not only clips into your CD
They hold both phones securely and it's not falling all over the place like a vent clip
I've had three: the vent clip (which is cumbersome to insert and remove, and when using the A/C-heat, makes the phone too hot/cold, the dash sticky (which the sun said "ha!" to the stickiness), and this one (which is perfect!).

Unfortunately, the extension arm is not quite long enough to fit securely in Saab, and could not support the weight of the phone driving over rough roads
The seemingly inconsequential weight of the metal plate really does eventually make a difference
I have an iPhone 7 Plus and when it's in the holder it doesn't fall out, but the holder can't support the weight of the phone and it wobbles and pivots all over the place
