I haven't really given it a trip test over any rough roads, but it seems to work as advertised

The only issue is that my phone "bounces" while driving , hitting bumps, speedhumps, potholes, rough road ect

If you have smooth roads,take your CD out first and avoid pot holes, you'll be fine with this.

It can be a little bouncy if Im on a pot hole ridden road or on a bumpy/wavy dirt road but its never fallen out of the slot or even started to work its self out

This second one seems sturdier but even when I tighten the screw to secure the holder in the CD slot, it still feel like it might eventually fall off as I adjust the angle of my phone

I've used this in both a 2007 VW Rabbit with stock stereo as well as in a 2015 Honda Fit with stock stereo and with both it fits perfectly
