Mr. Coffee 4-Cup Switch Coffee Maker with Gold Tone Filter, Black

    • We always put the carafe back (fully dry) on the warming plate after it had cooled down...and it is totally shot after only 5 months?
    • the Pause `n Serve feature; however, don't leave the pot away from the warming plate for more than thirty seconds or the reusable filter might overflow.)
    • I suppose I should give it a five star, because it really does exactly what it is should with no fuss, but I would prefer that the hot plate part not discolor and singe so easily
    • Bought this in September to replace the identical unit my husband had owned for a year or so (that one finally had just too much calcification on the warming plate, necessitating replacement.)This new unit's warming plate started rusting after two months, and is now COMPLETELY rusted!
    • Hot plate developed and punched a hole in less than 2 month and finally died in 3 months
    • Got this same pot from a local store as a replacement... warmer plate burns the coffee... coffee is brewed fast, and tastes fine, but you have to turn it off right after brewing the coffee to prevent burning.
    • Well, the same; developed a hole on the hot plate
    • Also, don't let water drip onto the warmer plate as it will bubble up the coating the first day.
    • The bubbling of the water is loud, but especially if you take the pot away to pour a cup and then put it back, whatever drops have spilled on the hot plate surface then sizzle very loudly until they eventually evaporate away, which can be several minutes
    • The hot plate stopped warming and the water uptake failed
    • Simple operation and construction (one heater element for both heating water and the hot plate), with a single On/Off switch with a light when on
    • The hot plate is a little more rusted but for the price this machine otherwise performs at the 5 star level
    • The hot plate is very HOT and keeps the coffee warm until I am ready to drink the second cup
    • Coffee comes out piping hot and hot plate keeps it at just the right temp as long as its on.
    • Sometimes the filter basket drips a little on to the warming plate when you remove the carafe
    • Still get a drip or two on the hot plate when removing the pot which is causing the coating on it to come off.
    • It is also a tad noisy when brewing, especially if you get water on the outside of the pot and it hits the hot plate, but that's like a big... duhhh.
    • Pour yourself a cup and set the decanter back on the warming plate.
    • The hot plate is a little more rusted but for the price this machine otherwise performs at the 5 star level
    • If you are impatient, as I sometimes am, you can lift the coffee decanter off the warming plate and the coffee will immediately stop dripping.
    • I close the lid over the reusable filter, ensuring that the filter is properly seated, place the pot on the warming plate with its lid shut, and flip on the switch.
    • Hot plate developed and punched a hole in less than 2 month and finally died in 3 months

    • By Day 5 of use, if the carafe isn't lined up perfectly, coffee will leak down the outside of the carafe and burn on the warming plate while coffee is brewing
    • As one reviewer pointed out, it will definitely overheat and burn the coffee if you leave it sitting on the hot plate too long
    • Requires hand hold close to hot plate section when opening.
    • The warming plate will keep your coffee hot until it can be drunk.
    • The hot plate does not keep the coffee hot after the coffeemaker has completed the initial process of passing all the water through the coffee grounds.
    • I pour it into my thermos, add my creamer and enjoy it as I drive to work.
    • I figured if the white one still works as as it did the black
    • Not as hot as I'd like though
