The "off-brand" (Proctor Silex incase it matters) drip machine had thin, flimsy plastic, was loud, took longer than this one to brew, and dripped coffee everywhere

It leaks at the left black plastic right angle where the hot water flows into the spicket-sprinkler thingy

This one has a very strong plastic/chemical odor and even after rinsing it’s still there.

The coffee maker itself is made of very light weight, cheap plastic.

You would think it will break the plastic (as others have commented happening), but if you are careful the first few times it will be OK.
-
Note that is it made of plastic (except for the pot and some equipment inside) but the general item itself is cheap plastic.

Would rate 5-Stars at $16.The basket is a solid, ribbed plastic

Just as good as I knew it would be

I spent a lot more for two other machines and this coffee is as good as those made.
-
Have had it over a month, and it works as if I had just taken it out of the box.
-
But I cannot complain as it is cheap.
-
Coffee tastes just as good as if it had come from a fancier single cup maker
-
I always get this one, somehow I break them a

It tastes just as good as if I bought it daily at a coffee shop and is a fraction of the cost.
