We also had several issues with it clogging and it was difficult to clean the clogs out as they were located in the area where the coffee grounds left the

so sometimes you have to tap it on the top or you won't grind as much as you may have expected

We choose to grind it at once as we have an airtight, uv protected coffee storage container

all the way up and only grind as much as you need

I typically shake the grinder as it is grinding to loosen up the beans, so it doesn't miss too much
