    • I'm picky about my coffee but as much as a snob I think I am adding cream and sugar negates any test of what this does to freshly ground beans
    • I grind my own beans, so the taste is important to me, and I didn't think it would be so different, but it's vastly improved from my old coffee maker (which was also Mr. Coffee, but even though I cleaned it frequently, 14 years of use is 14 years of use.

    • We're pretty fussy about coffee, buy good beans online and grind our own, and there's always going to be a bit of trial and error with a different brewer
    • I tried grinding my own beans, and that resulted in a very good cup of coffee but a terrible mess with ground everywhere (yes, the water filter was in place and correctly mounted).
    • : We roast our own beans, grind them on the FINE setting in a burr grinder that auto measures for the number of cups you're brewing
    • It does brew a little hotter than my old Mr. Coffee and consequently seems to extract a little more flavor from my freshly ground beans
    • Espresso/Continental (darker roasted beans, NOT black) is SUPPOSED to be concentrated in a shot
    • I can drink my coffee now without fear of something swimming in it before I'm up to have my first cup!Good to note! if you use a papeer filter with very finely ground beans like Bustello, you will get a muddy consistency that will not brew right and over-filters the coffee even more
    • We tried grinding the beans finer and continued to clean all the pieces
    • Using a good bean roasted correctly and ground fresh will give you a great cup in less than 5 minutes
    • I'm not sure if I'm grinding the coffee beans enough, or if this makes weaker
    • I have tried less coffee, smaller batch brews (ie less water), and methodical cleaning, grinding the beans more or less, etc
    • We tried getting a permanent filter and grinding our beans less fine.
    • Feeling fancy I've ground me own beans and no clogs
    • Have had no problems and we grind our own beans
    • like you get at the take out restaurants, only we use whole bean and grind ourselves to get a much better flavor
    • My old Braun poured as fast as if there were no cap, and it kept the coffee as hot amd for as long as this one
    • I read some of the complaints as well as the many positives before buying and I can say that the complaints are largely 1) user error or 2) impatience
    • I set mine to brew at 8:45 AM, and by noon my coffee was still as hot as if I had just made it
    • My last thermal pot I had to turn the lid to get coffee, this one you only have to push down on a lever as you pour, much easier
    • Love this coffee maker and mine is still working but the rubber seal on the pot is worn out so it is not keeping the coffee as warm as
    • When it happened to my husband twice yesterday morning, and he said his once enjoyable morning routine had turned into a stressful way to start the day, I picked up a simple no frills coffeepot that hopefully will work as it's supposed to
    • If you wait too long to due a cleaning your coffee maker will poop out due to hard water deposits build up.
    • Of note is that the machine will let you know when it is time to clean, and will not make coffee, as far as I can tell, until cleaned.
