    Mr. Coffee Optimal Brew 10-Cup Thermal Coffeemaker System, BVMC-PSTX91-RB

    • This thermal coffee maker has a major design flaw.
    • The design flaw is that some more sophisticated brewers have a screen in that area to prevent the nipple from clogging
    • We bought this model because our Cuisinart coffee-maker with thermal carafe was driving us crazy with its basic design flaw
    • As others have pointed out, there is one incredible design flaw: The air raid siren that is the finished-brewing alarm is insufferable and what's worse, it cannot be disabled through the controls

    • I read some of the complaints as well as the many positives before buying and I can say that the complaints are largely 1) user error or 2) impatience
    • I set mine to brew at 8:45 AM, and by noon my coffee was still as hot as if I had just made it
    • My last thermal pot I had to turn the lid to get coffee, this one you only have to push down on a lever as you pour, much easier
    • Love this coffee maker and mine is still working but the rubber seal on the pot is worn out so it is not keeping the coffee as warm as

    • If you wait too long to due a cleaning your coffee maker will poop out due to hard water deposits build up.
    • Of note is that the machine will let you know when it is time to clean, and will not make coffee, as far as I can tell, until cleaned.
