This has been a known issue on some China plastics for quite some time

By December, 2017, the machine was leaking out the bottom with every brew (a known issue, I came to find out)

It makes me wonder if this is a well-known issue with this model

This is apparently a known issue at Mr Coffee, as their support page for this maker has the same problem

The hottest I was able to get out of room temperature water (~76°f) was 175°f, well below the billed brewing temperature.

Finally, a full bodied cup of coffee - but - it was older and wasn't keeping the coffee as hot as I liked
