I, of course, said no, especially since I bought a coffee pot for her for Christmas (which she hasn't seen yet) that makes iced and hot coffee, so I am guessing she can make ice tea as well and that way I can get mine
Iced Tea Maker is the fastest, easiest, and most convenient way to make iced tea.
Its way cheaper to make my own tea than buy it at the store
This way I get the benefit of more iced tea in the initial making and it doesn't get diluted with the ice
it has grooves and the tea stains inside the grooves and is almost impossible to clean.

If you love nothing more than to repeatedly bleach the tea stains from your countertops, then this particular model will be right up your alley.
Only thing I don't like: you can't adjust the brewing time, so some of the teas I use that have longer brewing times aren't as good as when brewed by cup -
There used to be a lever on the side of the brew basket and the water went through much slower and accumulated in the basket so that the tea could steep.
It use to fill up the entire filter basket with hot water and saturate all the tea and then overflow into the pitcher.
There is no way to regulate the rate at which the hot water passes through the tea
You're better off boiling your own hot water and making the tea.
Now, this one just lets the hot water run over the tea and directly into the ice
If I could give something a negative star I would definately give this a ton of negative stars (I had to give it at least one star and it does not deserve that even)

Like the product but miss the steeping valve that was on my old one.

Also, the placement of the steeping valve lever on the product looks a little different that the picture.
wish it worked like the Original Mr Coffee Ice Tea Maker - older model had a valve that prevented the water from just running thru the tea bags - you were able to allow the tea to steep before pouring it into the picture - this machine makes weak tasteless tea - wish I could return
I plugged it in before I put the steeping basket w/pitcher underneath, planning I would turn it on once I did that
Choose the round one with an adjustable brew basket instead
I would NOT put loose tea in the steeping basket without a filter though.
The design hasn’t really changed except for the steeping basket is easier and the maker is very durable.
There is absolutely nothing on the outside of the box which indicates this necessity, the box picture itself showing the inside of the steeping basket with tea bags has absolutely no visible sign of any Mr. Coffee paper filter.
I did read the negative reviews prior to purchasing in April but thought "no" they must be doing something wrong.
As recent as two weeks ago there were many negative reviews on this
Not sure - but the ice tea maker that seems to be the best seller (and one that many of the other negative reviews that were removed recommended) is about the same
The other reviews made me a little nervous that it was not like how it used to be.
Some reviewers have complained about leaking during the brewing process, but I believe that's a function of properly positioning the container against the brewing unit.
Just wanted to add my input and say I'm not sure what issues the other reviewers are having, but the pitcher has been absolutely perfect, and the tea this brews is delicious.
I'm not sure how the bad reviewers are using this, but I've made over 100 pitchers of tea and have yet to have a mess
I noticed other reviewers have the same complaint
