The connection at the bottom started getting finicky, and finally stopped working, but considering what we paid and the use we got out of it, I would recommend it to anyone looking to buy.

I bought it to replace an electric kettle I had for a few years that suddenly broke (switch connection)
-
Also recently, the electric connection from the bottom of the kettle has a problem, we are having a hard time keeping it on.
-
Since the entire water chamber is visible there are no connection points to fail & leak
-
Then the connection from the kettle to the base failed to connect
-
It got loose connection after 2 years

It's supposed to continue heating until it reaches boiling point (100C or 212F), now it stops boiling at 75 degrees C / 167 F.

n’t miss the lack of a keep warm function that you can get for an extra ten bucks or so from less reputable brands

n’t have to worry about the cord
