The sound is superb by its self but with a little mixing produces exactly what I was looking for.

The Crisp, Clean, Sound is all a Voiceover guy can ask for.

The sound is not amazing, but it is cheaper than a basic 58 and much more detailed.

A little noisy if you boost the gain to much with a mic pre but using a good quality pre-amp and setting a proper gain structure should give you a nice, warm, full sound, perfect for a home studio on a budget.(Update 4-7-2016) I recently noticed the elastic part of the shock mount has completely lost it's shock absorbing ability

It records a group performing around the mic with quite good sound

It has a great bass sound but not much more to offer after that, especially for "harsh" vocals in music

Totally eliminated any unwanted sounds from hitting the table or moving things around.

The MXL Studio1-USB mic is what I have used before and it has great clarity and sound

I have to keep the gain down low on the Alesis Multimix 4, the sound is so good, and you don't have to be right on top of it, either

That preamp warms up the sound and really helps this mic out compared to the built-in mic pre-amps on my board.

The sound is perhaps slightly warm for close-up vocal work, so for that you might want to roll back the lows on your eq just a tiny bit.

If you care a lot about the quality of the vocals, or if you need to record loud sounds, I would recommend saving up for a better microphone.

The sound was so smooth and responsive it was picking up all kinds of clear and precise tones it sounded great and was really worth the wait

This mic isn't bad by any means, I've got some great sound out of it

I have used it with two different PA systems and got excellent sound from both.

However, when I'm trying to record a grand piano or loud vocals, the microphone cilps and the sound comes out really fuzzy and distorted.

It very quickly however developed a really harsh buzz, followed by complete cutting out (no voice transmission at all for a few seconds at a time, followed by a loud popping sound).
