excellent reception in a group of 18, and a good quality range of about 25 feet
The microphone has excellent range and picks up everything very clearly, to the point where you have to be mindful of even small background noises such as your refrigerator
These have been completely plug-n-play so far with excellent audio pickup range and quality.
Has excellent range and fidelity for audio for court reporters.
It can pick up voices from across the room and the range is great
The remaining challenge is to find the right speaker to plug to it, which we haven't find yet
-The speaker 3.5 mm port stopped working on the microphone
The webcam (Logitech BCC950, also from Amazon) is placed about ten feet behind the microphone and is piped into the portable speaker system via a 50 foot 3.5mm to 1/4" microphone cable.
Since the mic is picking up the board and participant voices via the speaker system, I may be able to actually move the mic to the very back of the room since location should not matter if the overhead speakers are all working okay
The problem is, when you plug it in and it installs itself on your computer, it sets itself both the default microphone, as well as the default speaker.
It picks up the quietest voice quite well and broadcasts nicely.

It does a great job of picking up loud voices, but the softest voices in a small 15' x 15' room are still missing from the recording.
We set this up with a USB extension, placed it in the middle of the table, and have been really impressed with how well it picks up even quiet voices all around a 16'table.
About 8 people stand around it and it picks up everyone's voices pretty well

Skype meeting at an overseas office, and it worked exactly as I wanted it to.
Apart from the USB and monitor jack, there are no cheap feeling or plastic bits anywhere on the body of the microphone
I had tried the Audio-Technica ATR-4697 Boundry Omnidirectional Condenser Microphone, which is not a USB device, but the flimsy plastic on the battery door broke immediately and it never did work.

There is a lot of ambient noise but that is to be expected
Does a great job of picking up voices over ambient noise.
Lots of ambient noise pick up compared to the MXL.- Jabra SPEAK 510, 2.5 stars
And some days seem to be better than others... not sure if it's ambient noise or what.
The only "downside" to the mic is that it is so sensitive that it picks up ambient noise so if someone in the audience makes a quiet, off the record comment, it is often picked up even though spoken softly.
If USB cable wobbles, the connection either gets lost or inconsistent
We bought this for conferencing, and although the sound quality is excellent, and the quality of the unit is solid, I do not understand why they have such a flimsy connection between the USB wire and the unit
Also, since it's digital (usb) we don't have to deal with sneaky noises and bad connections

I then starting using my old Plantronics Bluetooth headset which worked ok and was smaller and lighter than a boom-style headset, but didn't solve the issue of switching inputs every time I wanted to use it
Most times it's accessed it will hang the computer in windows 10.
This wouldn't be a huge deal, except we were planning on sharing this among many employees at our organization, so this would have been a recurring issue every time someone new wanted to use it.
While my voice was clear, people had a hard time hearing me if it wasn't very close to my mouth
