I think this microphone produces good sound quality; however, that is tempered by the fact that the other product that I bought with
-
The sound quality is great with the Art Tube Preamp(use mic cables, not 1/4" cables for Phantom Power), and I couldn't be happier with it
-
Awesome recording quality
-
This mic is very good quality
-
And is trying to achieve that super clean sound quality
-
I love the quality of it
-
The sound quality is remarkable for the price.
-
Good quality mic!
-
great quality, so solid, clear sound, tge best
-
Great product, the quality in recording is worth much more than the sticker price.
-
you won't find better quality until you're looking to spend at least 1,000 bucks or more
-
I bought it so I can start recording at my house gret sound and an amazing quality
-
Good quality.
-
The price is a great way to save for those that are looking for a great sounding mic, and the quality is good.
-
Connected to my PC via XLR-to-USB, the sound quality is very clear and there is no background noise or static
-
Awesome Mic and studio sound quality
-
Love this microphone and the sound quality is amazing
-
Great quality for the price, If you know your surroundings and know how to get your best recording this mic is perfect
-
good mic, good build quality regardless of who it is made
-
The quality is great for the price you get
-
Really great quality, durable, and better than any one of my friends
-
This obviously won't match top quality condensers, but for speech atleast, I find it to have a wonderful crisp tone with a warm sound to compliment your voice
-
I would suggest getting this with a M-Audio USB Preamp, because of this amazingly clear quality.
-
The sound quality is amazing and the sensitivity is ridiculously high, which is great for people who have a studio with sound proof material surrounding it
-
A little noisy if you boost the gain to much with a mic pre but using a good quality pre-amp and setting a proper gain structure should give you a nice, warm, full sound, perfect for a home studio on a budget.(Update 4-7-2016) I recently noticed the elastic part of the shock mount has completely lost it's shock absorbing ability
-
Good quality for price
-
This item is great, Has very good recording quality for my small home non professional studio
-
There are people out there with far better, professionally trained ears that might dispute the quality of sound but for what I do, the small amount of recording and voice work I do, this mic is top-shelf for me.
-
Sound quality isn't inherently bad, even when compared with more expensive house-hold names
-
It has an amazing range of pick-up and the sound quality is superb!
-
Such great quality
-
Great quality way better than my USB Blue Yeti in certain ways, only thing is the audio gets picked up too easily (background audio) unless I'm not using it right
-
The sound quality is fantastic and can stand up to professional recordings
-
so we set this one and it picks everything, with great quality, but make ure you are in a sound stage or sound proof enviroment or it will pick the cars passing by 9 floors from the street
-
I found the quality of this mic to be very muddy, it sounds like you threw a blanket over the mic after you listen to your recording
-
Now I have to go find a quality shock mount that will properly secure AND fit the MXL-990 body.
-
Quality is fantastic
-
It has improved my song quality as well as my overall quality.
-
great quality sound for recording
-
As far as the sound, I mean what do you expect for 70 bucks or whatever, the quality is fine perhaps a bit muddy but tolerable

Then I hooked it up to the included shock mount and added a pop mic filter (VERY important you use a pop filter because condenser mics are sensitive to moisture from your mouth). The sound quality is far beyond anything I'm used to, but I must confess that I was one of those poor fools who didn't even know what XLR and "phantom power" was -- I only used mics with a USB connection or the 1/8" stereo plug, and they all sound terrible compared to an XLR microphone with 48v phantom power
-
I actually compared this to a more expensive and higher quality mic by recording with
-
Very good build quality, just does not care about beer spit, cigarette smoke, wind, nothing, but like any mic if you bang it around it will die.
-

-
Cheap quality.
-
Sound quality is great, reliability has been great and the shockmount might not do much, but it looks cool!
-
If you leave it out, plan to protect it from abuse and being knocked around, as well as from accumulating dust and spit.
