Reviews around noise gate (5.00 of 5)

  • Comparing the Top Boost to the Noise Gate in terms of the big "selling point", the Fullbore's Noise Gate (which has adjustable sensitivity) to me seems like a MUCH better feature when thinking about how tight you want your rhythm guitar or leads to sound
  • Pretty similar tones to other similarly priced pedals out there, but very good at reducing noise, included noise gate is nice as well
  • Like the features especially the noise gate but do not use the scoop very much.
  • The included noise gate is extremely transparent and highly effective on machine gun riffs.

  • The noise gate is a great feature and it's pretty damn good looking to boot.
  • The variable mids EQ is a nice feature for tweaking the overall response to your style of playing
  • I love it a lot and it has a bunch of awesome and very useful features

Reviews around boost (5.00 of 5)

  • The big "selling point" about the MM is that it has a Top Boost
  • Comparing the Top Boost to the Noise Gate in terms of the big "selling point", the Fullbore's Noise Gate (which has adjustable sensitivity) to me seems like a MUCH better feature when thinking about how tight you want your rhythm guitar or leads to sound
  • I wrote a review for the MM on Amazon, but in summary, the Top Boost makes everything sound weird and unmusical

Reviews around box (5.00 of 5)

  • When I read about this effects pedal, I figured it would be a pretty cool box to use.
  • If you can live with this, you've got yourself a good metal distortion box.
  • I am biased towards rock and metal - and I love dirt boxes

Reviews around gate work (5.00 of 5)

  • It's built well, more versatile than the name would lead you to believe - and the gate works like a charm

Reviews around lot (5.00 of 5)

  • Great pedal overall, killer metal tones with a lot of customization available
  • I love it a lot and it has a bunch of awesome and very useful features
  • This pedal is ok at best there are a lot better metal pedals out there the only thing this one really has going for it is it has a built in noise gate other wise this pedal is pretty thin sounding and has far to much gain then you will ever need

Reviews around tone (4.10 of 5)

  • All the metal tone that you can handle with great tone controls
  • but compared to my amp distortion (blackstar ht-20 pushed by a digitech overdrive) it just doesn't have a powerful or realistic tone
  • this unit covers it all with killer flippen tone!!!!
  • It WILL produce that solid, almost synthetic tone reminiscent of TSO or many other metal bands.
  • It takes a lot of fiddling to dial in a good tone and thats with the gain knob cranked down around 3

Reviews around distortion (4.06 of 5)

  • Like the distortion itself had an unpleasant high screech to it
  • The distortion is intense
  • This is the most versatile distortion pedals you can buy.
  • But through a nice, well-balanced tube amp like a Hot Rod or something, this can give you very nice metal distortion
  • I really like the harmonics and dynamics, the best solid state distortion for the price in my opinion

Reviews around metal (3.86 of 5)

  • You know how hard it is to squeeze a good metal crunch out of one small box
  • But through a nice, well-balanced tube amp like a Hot Rod or something, this can give you very nice metal distortion
  • Hard rock and heavy metal, classic metal is where it shines
  • It sounds terrible, even my crappy metal core pedal sounds better
  • I suppose if it had a 10-band EQ and a 12AX7 preamp circuit, it would be "the best metal pedal", but for a small piece of gear, it's probably the best analog distortion on the market.

Reviews around sound (3.47 of 5)

  • Distortion tone sounded horrible
  • If you have a good ear, you'll be able to get all kinds of nice sounds out of it
  • I like the sound of a tube amp distortion best no doubt about it
  • I like the sound of a tube amp distortion best no doubt about it
  • Hell, it'll make an acoustic sound like a metal machine as well

Reviews around thing (3.22 of 5)

  • There are amplifiers that will make this thing sound absolutely terrible, and there are amplifiers that will make it sound like realistic tube gain for metal
  • (it is smaller than I imagined it would be, that's actually a good thing)
  • Maybe I expected way too much...but this thing sounds terrible
