  • This is a great clean boost for the price if placed in the beginning of the chain.
  • Adds some gain and volume when placed before the dirt pedals or preamp and works well as a clean boost when placed at the end of the pedal chain or in the effects loop

Reviews around signal (5.00 of 5)

  • It's tough to say a lot about this pedal because it doesn't really do anything except give your signal a boost when engaged.
  • A lot of guitarists use it at the end of their chain to boost their signal during lead and solo parts
  • With this pedal I can easily fine tune my guitar's signal for each song and excercise

Reviews around job (5.00 of 5)

  • This little baby at about 3 o'clock setting does a real nice job for my solos and louder sections of songs.
  • i have been using a boss eq as a boost pedal for solos in the acoustic trio I play in. to my ears, the mxr micro amp does a cleaner more transparent job.

  • My active pickup guitar worked well with yousician but the passive pickup guitars were just a bit too quiet and I was having trouble hearing my guitar over yousician's background music

  • Some reviews call this a great boost for lead work, and it works in that regard if your band isn't too over-the-top; my band is loud as heck, and the Micro Amp just doesn't boost the volume enough to cut through

Reviews around volume (4.26 of 5)

  • Perfect for boosting your lead volume without changing the tone
  • I use this pedal to boost my volume for lead work and solos
  • While others have touted this as a "clean boost" or "volume boost", it's most certainly a Gain boost, so, while it will boost your volume a bit (especially with a solid state amp

  • While others have touted this as a "clean boost" or "volume boost", it's most certainly a Gain boost, so, while it will boost your volume a bit (especially with a solid state amp
  • Perfect for leads or other applications where a gain boost is necessary, for example when you use two different guitars and the output for one is higher than the other and you don't want to waste time fiddling with all your settings just to equalize them (especially during a show!)
  • I use mine at the beginning of my chain (Micro Amp - Fulldrive 2 - EHX East River - Big Muff) and keep it set around 2 o'clock for medium amounts of gain boost, usually to grab a bit of feedback or extra body on a chorus

Reviews around tone (3.86 of 5)

  • For me, and anyone who already loves their tone but wants to squeeze out a little more gain without coloring their sound, this pedal is perfect
  • I use it to add a little sparkle and volume to my clean tone riffs and some drive to my leads
  • Not only does it make your signal louder, it really clears up your tone
  • Execellent pedal black and white gives you a great boost for solos and enhances you clean tones as well
  • This thing really kicks it up nice and clean or real dirty over the top!I had a LPB1 that sucked tone and sounded like

Reviews around sound (3.61 of 5)

  • This pedal is a perfect solution to that, and it even brightens up my Fender amp with some amazing sparkly clean sounds
  • Not only for guitar volume boost, but also for that over-driven sound, since it preserves the original source signal, without compressing and squashing the sound like so many distortion pedals tend to do.
  • But like I said, if you already love the sound of just your guitar plugged into your amp and want a little extra juice, this pedal is the bee's knees!
  • Good, warm distorted sound

Reviews around thing (3.22 of 5)

  • Love this thing
  • This thing is awesome
  • But if you put it behind other pedals, it does change the tone of them a bit; in my experience it adds a bit of clarity and sparkle (good things!
