With the Native Instruments Maschine groove production software and controller, you've got the undeniable vibe of working with a hardware drum machine, combined with the virtually unlimited creative potential software provides. Whether ...
This device has great sounds and is easy to play as a standalone
Do not buy this machine unless you're a big time software person, or you have a lot of time on your hands to figure it out, Not your typical sequencing set up, great sounds though...
Well you can probably get exactly the sound you want with the drum synth
It's fair to argue that the sounds are great in Maschine, but it's not worth the agony of dealing with a terrible workflow.
The sounds in Maschine, and Native Instruments devices in general, are wonderful
It brings a untold amount of potential for my songwriting and is a very well presented package and I am sure will prove to be a valuable tool
I still have a TON more to learn on this, but the learning process has been fun, the samples and projects that come with this are great learning tools, I am a fan.
Thanks Native instruments for creating this awesome tool!
I really enjoyed the machine great tools a lot of fun to play with and spend countless hours just messing around
Hands down, this is one of my favorite tools of the trade
After having to upgrade and intending to use the $25 on their 'Thanksgiving Special' I'm no longer allowed to use the $25 on their 50%-off $24.50 expansion but HAVE to wait for it to go up $25, so then I can spend that money on a $50 item-- that's ridiculous, I might as well have never gotten that money in the first place

You will be 24/7 creating incredible stuff as soon as put your hands on this
Yet I can see someusers wishing a better handling of the loops (or scenes) as referred by N.I.I spent hundreds trying to find the right controller and stuff for Cubase, Maschine cut corners on that big time, as it has it's ownsoftware with a nice hardware integration which also has it's own screens
although I've heard some amazing sounding stuff out there

The program is so easy to jump into because of the drum machine and layout as opposed to just downloading any other DAW without hardware and it just makes you feel as if you can navigate and begin producing music with ease
I also want to mention that this program worked flawlessly with my Casio Privia digital piano and I highly recommend a decent digital piano or keyboard if you are serious about beginning music production
We watched the pricing on Amazon vs other sights and this was the best pricing around Christmas and it came with some free promotional program downloads as well.
By handcuffed I mean, either I have to go back and spend the numerous hours opening up every single session I have across all of my different hard drives and saving my Maschine plugin work as

It came in the mail right on time and in perfect condition
I order used and came in good condition but beware when used because the serial numbers maybe already used and limits you from using the software that comes with it.
This item was purchased used in "very good" condition

I'd recommend the ADSR tutorial channel for starters

Ok, this interface and software bundle might not be for everyone, but for me, this is the perfect music
Though it isn't a comparison to Push, you feel like you're making music with a Push, this feels, well- see the first line
I honestly believe that right off the bat it will help someone be able to create unique and gratifying music which they are actually trying to make as opposed to learning the ins and outs of another program which may take awhile to be satisfied with results
This is exactly my case, I like to work with buttons and knobs and all that, but to put together complex music, and/or edit mistakes and everything, you need a computer
This product is great for music production and its great altogether whether you are a beginner or you've done this before!
BUT it didn't come with the free 2.0 Maschine updated software
I love love love love love my Maschine if you are experienced in the studio the workflow on Maschine is flawless and gives you great organization when creating or performing live from the workstation easy software to understand and integrates well with other DAWs
As is it's just a mediocre software license stuck to a midi controller with lights.
Studio grade build and feel, fantastic software and workflow: you can't go wrong here both for home studio production and live performance Maschine is the bomb.
The software that comes with it doesn't always work properly
Yet I can see someusers wishing a better handling of the loops (or scenes) as referred by N.I.I spent hundreds trying to find the right controller and stuff for Cubase, Maschine cut corners on that big time, as it has it's ownsoftware with a nice hardware integration which also has it's own screens
With preset mappings for Live, Logic, and other major DAWs, you can have an excellent midi controller with LED feedback ON TOP of an excellent controller for the Maschine plugin
My advice: If there is any affordable hardware controller then it's this hardware (unfortunately) put out by NI (unfortunately Ableton Push is still just a glorified midi-controller)
This makes Maschine feel more like an instrument than a clumsy midi controller

Maschine', unintuitively frustrating to grasp, you have actually no hope of getting along without it
By handcuffed I mean, either I have to go back and spend the numerous hours opening up every single session I have across all of my different hard drives and saving my Maschine plugin work as
This makes Maschine feel more like an instrument than a clumsy midi controller
If you're like me and use Maschine 1 as a plugin within say Live, Logic, Pro Tools, etc., note that Maschine 2.0 WILL NOT open Maschine 1 plugin work within a 3rd party
This is Maschine's main drawback; it's stuck to it's sequencer software
