A little weird having to pack 6 AAs but for the price lights really well and adjust-ability of the dimmer and the difuser lenses in my mind make it a great value.

I used this light to shoot a great screen video with just two umbrella lights in the background.

The Neewer 160 LED Dimmable light box, is very decent to help light an area you'll need for shooting so decent indoor video.

With so many expensive camera accessories, don't waste your money on expensive video lights

This is just what I have been needing and price is right.

This light is bright and gets the job done for a great price.

On balance I can live with that battery problem given the price of this unit, now I simply remove a batter when I stow it.

Somewhat harsh light, I suppose if you're at a wedding and are using this for video and the quality of light isn't an issue, you're in a wonderfully lit dining hall with disco balls all over, this would be a HUGE plus to have on your unit, the battery life, well the draw on the battery is quite supreme because the batteries which are a standard type (they fit on many different products so are voluminous here on Amazon from many sellers = lower prices); I ran a test and the light lasted approx 75 minutes with the smaller 2600mah battery, you can use a much larger 6900mah battery which I have yet to test out, but if the 1/3 size battery lasts a full hour+, that's good enough for me with having a few backups fully charged and ready to go in your bag

I do video with it and it definetly bumps up the quality of all my shots

I recommend this for any one with a good quality SLR or video camera.

Unfortunately, being that the plastic fastener that tightens onto the hot shoe is so plasticky and low quality that it won't tighten all the way

It's cheap, good quality, good light and great tone in skins

It would be nice if there was a way to turn off every other light or had a darker filter.

Surprisingly bright, the two filters are useful for diffusion, and the option for AA batteries is handy

Had to buy an additional hot shoe mount and screw it into the bottom.

I do dislike the fact that the cold shoe mount is screwed directly into the bottom of the light

The only thing that I do not like about this light is the tightening screw that it has for the hot shoe mount

Easy to mount on the hot shoe of a DSLR where the light weight is a definite advantage.

The only drawback I found was the cold shoe mount which I had to adjust several times in order to hold the light securely.

Just buy the rechargeable battery because regular batteries will die after one use

I recommend not buying cheap batteries as it effects the performance of the light

Getting the rechargeable battery was worth it too but lasts long with aa batteries as well.

Battery dies really quickly, even when using the bigger batteries

She uses hers mostly for self portraits while mine is mostly used for macro because the rotatable mounting, works great for both!

This is a great addition to my purchase and allows for greater mounting options and uses.

The first event I shot with it, the light fell out of the hot shoe mount 4 times and hit the ground--you don't want to over tighten because it's cheap plastic

just as described very bright comes with a nice some what sturdy plastic case for diffusers amber and frosted that just slides in tabs on the front of the light

Only down side I have is that the camera it's self is a bit heavy so the screw part you put on your camera becomes a bit loose over time

Not a fan of the "Orange" diffuser though, it the color is consistent until around the very edged of the filter where it darkens quite a bit

Could not believe how bright the lights can e dialed up to.

Placing it in the hotshoe of a dslr is a bit bulky and awkward to carry around

It's really bright and sometimes I would get complaints to dim a bit

This video light has the power to light up a dark room and with the included gels u can warm up the bright led light source to give off more of a soft tungsten glow

It provides enough dimming flexibility to light up even the darkest room

Makes a huge difference even in well lit rooms

so events that are taking place in a very dim room may not be the best place to use this light

It won't light up a room like a Lowell Light Kit, but I love this for interviews
