The sound is incredible, I

Not the greatest sound, but bot the worse really

Although this mic is terrific for many vocal recordings (when paired with a high quality pre amp) it is very brittle sounding on most other audio sounds

A big turn off is that you need more power to get the full use out of this, with just the xlr to 3.5 cable is not enough to power it and voice calls comes out way to low, With proper power the Mic comes out sounding actually pretty great.

Not a bad budget microphone, I suggest either using a good digital recorder like the Zoom H4N or H6 to get some gain for the microphone as it needs that little bit of boost, or a mixing board, but has a nice responsive accurate sound.

The NW-700 is the thinnest, worst sounding mic I've heard in some time

And it's not how expensive something is, but a great producer/engineer gets the best sound from what they have
